We were excited to return to cruising in Florida for the first time post- Covid, and spent a few extra days on the eastern shore side before embarking on the Carnival Liberty out of Port Canaveral. We stayed near the port at the Holiday Inn Cape Canaveral Resort, which had a HUGE waterpark area, beach access, and lots more! Check it all out in our Youtube vlog! (link below) This resort is almost adjacent to the new Carnival Cruise Port (near Jetty Park), and we even got to see the new Carnival Mardi Gras ship while it was there in port!

We also had time to got to Cocoa Village for an arts and crafts fair and check out some of the cute stores in this historic district. We even found a place with $3.00 Margaritas! Next, we traveled a bit further south to the quaint town of Melbourne, where we tried out huge pancakes at a fantastic breakfast place where you could even cook your own at griddles built into the tables! Later, we also had some fresh croissants at a French bakery! Yum! We also went to Blockhouse Beach next to Patrick Space Force Base, and got to see a C-17 Globemaster cargo plane fly just overhead when it was practicing taking off and landing. It was huge!

Later, we went to see the launch of the Space X Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, and it was a real sight to behold! We even found a great free viewing area that is kind of a hidden gem! We are glad we had a few days to explore the area before the cruise; it was so much fun!

Come on along, and check it out!

In this last video (link below) from our fall camping trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we go exploring on some roads 'less traveled'. We find the "Covered Road" with BEAUTIFUL falls colors (see website description below)and drive through some ghosts towns along the way from the copper mining days.

"Located west of Houghton, off the Houghton Canal Road, the “Covered Road” is a scenic dirt road with a tunnel of trees that make it look like it was a scene taken straight out of a movie. Especially beautiful in the fall, this off the beaten path drive will lead you to the ghost town of Redridge, the historic Redridge Dam and Lake Superior."
